Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. It is a working draft to be finalized with your institution's counsel.
Examination Center is in early access — we're onboarding institutional pilots. The information here describes our current platform and direction and may evolve; it is not a contractual commitment.

Who we are
Examination Center provides a browser-based Python exam platform to universities. For exam data, the university is the data controller and Examination Center is the data processor.
What we process
- Students: name, student ID, section, the code they write and run during the exam, run output, and integrity telemetry (paste/edit events, timestamps, a coarse device signal).
- Staff: name, email, role assignments, and authentication data.
- We do not sell personal data and do not use it to train any AI model.
Why
To deliver the exam, let instructors monitor sessions and review integrity evidence, recover student work, and meet record-keeping obligations.
Retention
Exam records are retained for the university for 12 months, then deleted; see Data retention.
Sub-processors
We use a small set of infrastructure providers listed on our Subprocessors page.
Your rights & contact
