Data Retention
Exam records are kept for your institution for up to 12 months, then deleted under our retention policy. We are in early access and finalizing automated enforcement.
Examination Center is in early access — we're onboarding institutional pilots. The information here describes our current platform and direction and may evolve; it is not a contractual commitment.

What may be stored
- Exam sessions, the code students write and run, and run output.
- Integrity telemetry: paste/edit events, timestamps, and a coarse device signal.
- Instructor review notes and exportable session / integrity reports.
Who controls access
Your institution controls the data. Access is role-scoped (organization → course → section); see Security.
Retention policy
Records are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. The policy also covers deletion when a subscription has lapsed for more than about 3 months.
Deletion & export
Export and deletion are available on request today. Scheduled, automated enforcement is being finalized — we don't claim deletion runs automatically yet.
Backups & recovery
The database has point-in-time recovery enabled. Off-site per-exam backups are being rolled out and will follow the same retention and deletion policy.
